In May 2005, a service was held at the Woodlands United Reformed Church, Blackburn, Lancashire, to recognise and pay respects to my Grandparents contribution to the church and local community over the many years that they lived there.
As a final contribution to the church, our family donated a bench for the local parishioners to rest on and enjoy the surrounding garden. Engraved upon the bench is a plaque, that reads:-
